Obituary

Frank McKIfresh of 208 Elizabeth St., Monessen, died Saturday,Oct.17,1981, at 8:20 a m in Mon Valley Hospital. Mr. McElfresh, who 75, had been in declining health. He was born Dec 28, 1905 in Monessen, a son of the late Harry and Maude Blouse McElfresh. Mr McElfresh was an employee of the Wheeling- P i t t s b u r g h Steel C o r p o r a t i o n ' s Monessen Plant in the Chipping Bed before retiring 11 years ago. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Monessen. Mr. McElfresh was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Graves, in Florida. Survivors include his wife,Ida Weible McElfresh, at home,four sons, Robert and Everett, both of Monessen,Allen of Donora, and Carl of G l e n n Falls, Pa , one brother Lyman McElfresh, of Pitcairn, Pa , one sister, Mrs. Charles ( D o r o t h y ) Wells, of Thurman, W Va , seven grandchildren, and one great-grandson. Friends will be received in the Rhome Funeral Home, I n c . 1209 Grand Blvd . Monessen,Monday from 2 to 4 p m and 7 to 9 p m. Services will be held at 11 a.m.Tuesday in the Chapel of the Funeral home,with the Rev.Allen Herman,pastor of Union Baptist Church,Arnold,Pa.,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Rhome Funeral Home,Inc.,is in charge of arrangements.
