Obituary

Jules Massey,500 Speer St.,Belle Vernon,died Friday,January 5,1979,in Mon Valley Hospital,Carroll Twp. He was 57. Mr.Massey was a former resident of Third St.,Monessen. He was born in Monessen,June 14,1921,son of the late Jules and Mary Moniot Massey Jr. Mr.Massey was a retired employee of the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.in the coke and chemical plant at Monessen. He was a World War II veteran,having served in the U.S.Army. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene,Belle Vernon,the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion and Monessen Association of Retired Steelworkers,all of Monessen. Mr.Massey is survived by his widow,Virginia Lovas Massey,one son,Charles Massey of Fairhope,(Belle Vernon) and two granddaughters,Melissa and Melinda Massey. In addition to his parents,Mr.Massey was preceded in death by a brother,Emil Massey,and a grandson,Chuckie Massey,in Jan.1977. Friends will be received in the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City,after 4 p.m.Saturday. Services will be held Monday at 1,30 p.m.in the funeral home,with the Rev.Kenneth E.Neiderhiser,pastor of the Church of the Nazarene,Belle Vernon,officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
