Joseph Mallino of 648 McKee Ave.,Monessen,died Tuesday, Sept. 19,1978,in Charleroi Division of Mon Valley Hospital. Mr. Mallino,85,had been in declining health. Born in Italy,Feb. 13,1893,Mr. Mallino had been a Monessen resident for the past 60 years. He was a City of Monessen employee,having worked in the Street Department. He retired in 1962. Mr. Mallino was a member of the Christian Covenant Church of Belle Vernon and the Sons of Italy Lodge, Sixth St.,Monessen. He was preceded in death b his wife, Carrie Mallino,a son, John Mallino,and a granddaughter, Sandra Fay Guzanick. Mr. Mallino is survived by four daughters,Rose Mallino of Monessen, Mrs Walter (Mary) Pustelak of Donora,Isabelle Mallino of New York,N.Y.,and Mrs. Mike (Yola) Guzanick, with whom he resided; two sons, Anthony Mallino of Monessen and Joseph Mallino of St. Clair Shores, Mich.; 16 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Rhome Funeral Home,Inc. 1209 Grand Blvd.,Monessen,on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Servces will be held Friday at 10 a.m.in the funeral home with the Rev. Frank J. DePolo,pastor of the Covenant Christian Church,Belle Vernon,officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Rhome Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
