Obituary

Robert L.Lenhart,49,of 221 Water St.,Belle Vernon,died Friday,Nov.21,1997,at home. Born Nov.27,1947,he was the son of the late Norman and Margaret Hazuga Lenhart. A lifelong resident of Belle Vernon,Mr.Lenhart was a member of First United Methodist Church. He was a life member of the Belle Vernon Volunteer Fire Company and served as president of the fire line officers through the years. He was a member of the Fayette County Firemen's Association,the Western Pennsylvania Firemen's Association,Southwestern Chiefs and Assistant Chiefs Association and the Pennsylvania State Firemen's Association. He was employed by the Municipal Authority of Belle Vernon and was a U.S.Army veteran of the Vietnam era. Survivors include his fiancee,Gay Bethem of Belle Vernon,two sons,Robert C.Lenhart of Charleroi and Aaron J.Lenhart of Belle Vernon,one daughter,Emilee R.Lenhart of Charleoi,one brother,James R.Lenhart of Millersville,Md.,and three sisters,Mrs.Otha (Elizabeth) Davis of Salt Lake City,Utah,Mrs.Larry (Diana) Smaldon of Belle Vernon and Mrs.Clarence (Velma Jean) Fine of Elizabeth. Friends will be received Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon. Burial will be on Tuesday,Nov.25,1997,in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
