Obituary

Bronislaw Brownie Lachowicz of 401 Main St.,Belle Vernon,died Wednesday,Jan.6,1988,at 7:35 p.m.at his home. He was 78. Mr.Lachowicz was born May 4,1909, in New York City, N.Y., a son
of the late Apalonia and Marion
Lachowicz.
He was a member of St. Sebastian
Roman Catholic Church, Belle Vernon,
where he had served as an
usher for many years.
Mr. Lachowicz had been a
businessman in Belle Vernon and
Monessen for several years,
operating Brownie's Hobby Shop.
He was a member of Belle Vernon
American Legion Post 659 and the
Polish National Alliance of
Monessen.
Mr. Lachowicz was a veteran of
World War II, having served with
the 368th Engineers Company of the
U.S. Army.
In addition to his parents he was
preceded in death by his twin
brother, Stanislaw, and by another
brother, Valadymer. He was also
preceded in death by a nephew,
George Lachowicz..
Survivors include his wife, Edith
Sellaro Lachowicz, one sister, Jean
Leone of Patchoff, N.Y., and one
nephew, Walter Lachowicz of White
Plains, N.Y.
Friends will be received Thursday
from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to
4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Ferguson
Funeral Home, Inc., 700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,where a Prayer service will be held Saturday,Jan.9,at 9:30 a.m.,followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.in St.Sebastian R.C.Church,Belle Vernon. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. American Legion Post 659 will hold services Friday at 7 p.m. in the funeral home. The Ferguson Funeral Home,Inc.,is in charge of arrangements.
