Bronislaw Brownie Lachowicz of 401 Main St.;Belle Vernon;died Wednesday;Jan.6;1988;at 7:35 p.m.at his home. He was 78. Mr.Lachowicz was born May 4;1909; in New York City; N.Y.; a son
of the late Apalonia and Marion
Lachowicz.
He was a member of St. Sebastian
Roman Catholic Church; Belle Vernon;
where he had served as an
usher for many years.
Mr. Lachowicz had been a
businessman in Belle Vernon and
Monessen for several years;
operating Brownie’s Hobby Shop.
He was a member of Belle Vernon
American Legion Post 659 and the
Polish National Alliance of
Monessen.
Mr. Lachowicz was a veteran of
World War II; having served with
the 368th Engineers Company of the
U.S. Army.
In addition to his parents he was
preceded in death by his twin
brother; Stanislaw; and by another
brother; Valadymer. He was also
preceded in death by a nephew;
George Lachowicz..
Survivors include his wife; Edith
Sellaro Lachowicz; one sister; Jean
Leone of Patchoff; N.Y.; and one
nephew; Walter Lachowicz of White
Plains; N.Y.
Friends will be received Thursday
from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to
4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Ferguson
Funeral Home; Inc.; 700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;where a Prayer service will be held Saturday;Jan.9;at 9:30 a.m.;followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.in St.Sebastian R.C.Church;Belle Vernon. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. American Legion Post 659 will hold services Friday at 7 p.m. in the funeral home. The Ferguson Funeral Home;Inc.;is in charge of arrangements.
