Margaret D.Lazzari of 17 Columbus St.,Belle Vernon,died Wednesday,March 30,1983 at 7:45 p.m.in the Waddington Nursing Home. She was 86. Mrs.Lazzari was born May 5,1896,in Italy,a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Ferrari. She was a member of St.Sebastian Church,Belle Vernon,and the Ladies Guild of the Church. Mrs.Lazzari was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of America,Anita Garibaldi Society,Defense Club,Golden Agers and American Legion Auxiliary,all of Belle Vernon,the Giuseppina Verdi Lodge of Charleroi and the Garibaldi Auxiliary of Dunlevy. She was preceded in death by her husband,Felix Lazzari,who died Oct.25,1969. They had celebrated 50 years of marriage on May 2,1965. Survivors include two sons,Delmas F.and Lloyd J.,both of Belle Vernon;one daughter,Mrs.George (Lorraine) Povich Jr.of Monessen;seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Friends will be received in the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,on Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A Blessing Service will be held on Saturday,April 2,at 11:30 a.m.at the funeral home followed by an additional Blessing Service at St.Sebastian Church at noon. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Due to Holy Week,a funeral service will be held on Monday at 10 a.m.in St.Sebastian Church. The Anita Garibaldi Lodge will hold services on Friday at 7 p.m.in the funeral home. Shelby D.Ferguson,funeral director,is in charge of arrangements.
