Thomas Kostelac,79,of Brownstown, Fayette City,died Tuesday, May 18,1999,in the emergency room of the Monongahela Valley Hospital Inc. Mr. Kostelac was born on Sept. 27,1919 in Washington Township,Fayette County,a son of the late Nick and Belle Loncarie Kostelac. He was a Catholic by faith,a veteran of World War II,having served with the 47th Divison of the U. S. Army. He was a retired employee of the old Lee-Norse Company of Charleroi. He is survived by his wife,Dorothy Rhodaback Kostelac; four sisters, Bertha Shaw and Mildred Lloyd,both of Fairhope, Belle Vernon,Sophia Bachinski of Monessen and Mary Paholsky of Belle Vernon;and two brothers, Matthew Kostelac of Hutchinson and Nicholas Kostelac of Monessen. Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Eley/McCrory Funeral Home Inc.,334 Main St., Fayette City,and Friday until 11 a.m.,the hour of service in the funeral home with the Rev. Wayne Boring of the First Christian Church of Fayette City officiating. Interment is in the Belle Vernon Cemetery, Belle Vernon. Eley/McCrory Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of the arrangements.
