Agnes Clara Kovall;78;of Allenport;died Tuesday;Jan.13;1998;at 7 a.m. in the Laurel Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center;Uniontown. Born Oct.15;1919;in Charleroi;she was the daughter of the late Mathias and Katherine Shuster Pello. Catholic by faith;Mrs.Kovall moved to Allenport in 1948 from Long Branch. She was a retired school crossing guard in Allenport for the California School District and for several years was a volunteer for the Allenport Food Bank. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;John T.Kovall;who died Oct.28;1978;three sisters;Gertrude Grier;Anna Grandy and Mary Niccolai;and one brother;Michael Pello. Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law;John T.and Jeane Kovall Jr.;of Brownsville;one daughter;Mrs.Joseph (Patricia) Karbowsky of Allenport;two sisters;Julia Cunningham of Pittsburgh and Helen Raymond of Allenport;and four grandchildren;Nicole Karbowsky;Rebecca Kovall;Richard Kovall and David Sztroin. Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon. A blessing service will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home;followed by interment in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.
