Leonard E.Kidwell;82;of Monessen;died Sunday;Oct.19;1997;in Mon Valley Hospital;Carroll Township. Born Sept.24;1915;in Monessen;he was a son of the late Lemuel and Anna Oates Kidwell. He had been employed as a foreman in the carpentry shop of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation’s Monessen plant. Mr.Kidwell was a member of St.Mary’s Episcopal Church of Charleroi. He was also a member of Monessen Lodge 638 F&AM where he had served as worshipful master;and the Mon Valley Caravan 17. Survivors include his wife;Eva Markovitch Kidwell;and three sisters; Marie Kidwell of Brookfield;Ohio;Wanita Harper of Donora and Leona M.Smith of Monessen. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by a brother;Kenneth F.Kidwell and a sister;Audra Rankin. Friends will be received Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Rhome Funeral Home Inc.;1209 Grand Blvd.;Monessen.
