Frank Kurylo;75;of 2056 Grand Blvd.;Monessen;died Saturday;Oct.22;1994;at his residence. He was born in Monessen;Nov.12;1919; a son of the late Andrew and Bella Kurylo. Mr.Kurylo was a graduate of the Monessen High School Class of 1937 and is a World War II veteran;having served with the U.S. Army as an M.P. and as a medic in the Pacific Theatre. He was a member of the Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church of Monessen;the BPOF of Monessen and the Monessen Knights of Columbus. Mr.Kurylo had been employed with the American Chain and Cable Co;Page Division;Monessen;for 31 years and had worked as an electrician with the Westinghouse Company for 16 years prior to his retirement. Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law;Kurt and Dorothy Kurylo of Natrona Heights;one daughter;Mrs.Jeffrey (Kim) Tarris of Greensburg;two grandchildren;Katie and Sam Kurylo;and a brother;Steven Kurylo of Monessen. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by his wife;Lorraine Brighenti Kurylo;and a sister;Helen Ollie. Friends will be received Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Rhome Funeral Home Inc.;1209 Grand Blvd.;Monessen. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church;Monessen. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Rhome Funeral Home Inc.is in charge of arrangements.
