Obituary

Frank Kurylo,75,of 2056 Grand Blvd.,Monessen,died Saturday,Oct.22,1994,at his residence. He was born in Monessen,Nov.12,1919, a son of the late Andrew and Bella Kurylo. Mr.Kurylo was a graduate of the Monessen High School Class of 1937 and is a World War II veteran,having served with the U.S. Army as an M.P. and as a medic in the Pacific Theatre. He was a member of the Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church of Monessen,the BPOF of Monessen and the Monessen Knights of Columbus. Mr.Kurylo had been employed with the American Chain and Cable Co,Page Division,Monessen,for 31 years and had worked as an electrician with the Westinghouse Company for 16 years prior to his retirement. Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law,Kurt and Dorothy Kurylo of Natrona Heights,one daughter,Mrs.Jeffrey (Kim) Tarris of Greensburg,two grandchildren,Katie and Sam Kurylo,and a brother,Steven Kurylo of Monessen. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by his wife,Lorraine Brighenti Kurylo,and a sister,Helen Ollie. Friends will be received Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Rhome Funeral Home Inc.,1209 Grand Blvd.,Monessen. Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Epiphany of Our Lord Roman Catholic Church,Monessen. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Rhome Funeral Home Inc.is in charge of arrangements.
