Obituary

Emil V. Komlos,73,of 802 Crest Drive,Monessen,died Thursday,May 6,1993,in Mon Valley Hospital,Carroll Township.  He was born Jan.3,1920,in Monessen,a son of the late Andrew and Helen Garber Komlos.  Mr. Komlos was a member of Epiphany of Our Lord Church and Knights of Columbus Council 954,both of Monessen. A U.S.Army veteran of World War II.he was retired from the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.,Monessen plant,where he worked in the No.2 pipe shop. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife,Jean Dalfonso Komlos,in February 1992;and three brothers, John Komlos who died in military service during World War II,Andrew and Michael Komlos. Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Kathryn Komlos of Greensburg and Russell Komlos at home;one daughter,Mrs. Terry (Rosemary) King of Rostraver Township;two granddaughters,Melissa Komlos and Kristen King;one grandson,Benjamin Komlos;one brother,George Komlos of Monessen and one sister, Olga Shipitz of Belle Vernon. Friends will be received Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Raymond D. Dalfonso Funeral Home,441 Reed Ave.,Monessen,where a Blessing service will be held Monday at 9:30 a.m.,followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m in Epiphany of Our Lord Church, Monessen.  Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  The Raymond D. Dalfonso Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
