Hoyt Kite Jr.;64;of Belrose Drive;Sweeney Drive;Belle Vernon;died Friday;May 29;1992;at 7:15 a.m.;in Jefferson Hospital. Born Sept.3;1927;in Grays Landing;he was the son of the late Hoyt N.and Elizabeth Oglethorpe Kite. Mr.Kite had lived in the Sweeney Plan for 34 years;having formerly resided in Lynnwood. A U.S.Army veteran of World War II;he served in Korea. He was a member of American Legion Post 659;Belle Vernon and was a life member of the Belle Vernon Moose. He retired in February;1989 as a die maker at the Fisher Body Plant of General Motors;West Mifflin. Surviving are his wife;Harriet L.Ferguson Kite;one son;Kenneth R.Kite of Belle Vernon R.D.2;two daughters;Mrs.William (Barbara) Devito of Berea;Ohio;and Mrs.William (Kathy J.) Kolesar Jr.of Waldorf;Md.;three grandchildren;Lisa DeVito;Megan Latavec DeVito and Heather Kolesar;three brothers;James Kite of Flat Rock;N.C.;Gene Kite of North Charleroi;and Robert Kite of Parma;Ohio;and one sister;Mrs.Duane (Darlene) Cap of Monongahela R.D. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by a brother;John Kite;in 1987. Friends will be received Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;where services will be held Monday at 11:30 a.m.;with the Rev.Marlin Miller of Fells United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.
