Julia G. Kara,89,of Pricedale, died Monday, May 18,1992,at 9:30 a.m.,in Presbyterian Medical Center, Washington,Pa. She was born July 9,1902,in Hungary,and had lived in the Belle Vernon area the past 77 years. Mrs. Kara was a member of Pricedale Union Church,Rostraver AARP, the hungarian Ladies Auxiliary and the Belle Vernon American Legion Auxiliary. She was preceded in death by her husband,Michael K. Kara,who died May 20,1947. Mrs. Kara and her late husband had operated the former Kara's Market in Pricedale for over 40 years. Survivors include one son, Michael J. Kara of Boca Raton, Fla.;two daughters, Elizabeth Dodson of Boca Raton and Mrs. Theodore (Isabelle) Vincent of Sun City, Ariz.,and two grandsons, Michael Vincent of Sun City and Theodore Vincent of San Diego, Calif. Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon,where services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. David Reeves of Pricedale Union Church officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ferguson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
