Obituary

Della M.Kroskie,82,of Arnold City,died Tuesday,Feb.5,1991,at 9:43 a.m. in Mon Valley Hospital after a short illness. She was born Jan.1,1909,in Poland,a daughter of the late Stanley and Mary Grondusky. She was a member of Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church,Fayette City. She was a member of the Polish National Alliance #976,Arnold City,and the Golden Agers of Belle Vernon. In addition to her parents,she was preceded in death by her husband,Walter (Whitey) Kroskie on May 29,1964.Survivors include four sons,Edward of Monessen,Stanley R. of Fairhope,Walter of Arnold City,and Joseph of Fairhope,two daughters,Mrs.Bernard (Betty) Chorba of Fairhope and Mrs.Ronald (Adeline) Lupori of Dunlevy,23 grandchildren,30 great-grandchildren,one brother,Joseph Grondusky of Carthage,N.Y.,and two sisters,Mrs. Edward (Helen) Popcum of Syracuse,N.Y.,and Mrs. Mary Swaglen of Boston. Friends will be received in the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City,Wednesday and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.and on Friday until 9:30 a.m. when a prayer service will be held in the funeral home followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church,Fayette City,with the Rev. Richard Macklewicz,pastor as celebrant. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home is in charge of arrangemnnts.
