Obituary

Joseph F.Kuklar,81,of 105 Belle Vernon Apartments,Belle Vernon,died Tuesday,Oct.11,1988,at 4:15 a.m. in Mon Valley Hospital. He was born Oct.9,1907,in Fairhope,a son of the late John and Sophia Owatt Kukla. He was a resident of Belle Vernon for the past 10 years,having previously resided in the Fairhope and Arnold City areas. He was Catholic by faith. He was a retired coal miner and past president of the coal miners' local union. He was also a Fayette County assessor in the 1940s. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by two brothers,Andrew and Victor,and by one sister,Katheryn Stec,and his wife,Mary M.Kosuda Kuklar,on Oct.10,1987,a daughter,Joan Sambula of Sept.17,1975,and a granddaughter,Amelia Sambula,on Nov.22,1969.Survivors include two daughters,Mrs.Joseph (Evelyn) Ferrero of Fort Lauderdale,Fla.,and Mrs.Thomas (Eleanor) Lofink Jr.of Belle Vernon,one son,John Michael Kuklar of West Newton,one brother,Alex Kuklar of Fairhope,five sisters,Ann Mosier of Lynnwood,Violet Wargo of Pocono,Susan Kuklar of Arnold City,Mrs.Fred (Helen) Yeaton of Lynnwood and Mrs.Bill (Margaret) Margarvo of Pittsburgh,12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon. A Prayer service will be held Friday at 9:30 a.m.in the funeral home,followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.in St.Sebastian Church,Belle Vernon. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Leonard Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
