Obituary

Mary Margarette Kendrick,85,of 718 Lookout Ave.,Charleroi,died at 7:20 a.m. Wednesday,July 20,1988,in Mon Valley Hospital,following a short illness. She was born in Fayette City on June 11,1903,a daughter of the late George Kollbas Coleman and Mary Roman Coleman. She was a resident of the Mon Valley for her entire life.  She was a member of St. Jerome's Roman Catholic Church,Charleroi;a member and officer for more than 40 years of the Catholic Daughters of Americas.,Court 6691,Charleroi;a member and officer of LCBA;a member and officer of Catholic Charities,and she operated the Cathloic Charities store in Charleroi for 24 years. She was a founder and officer of the Golden Agers of Charleroi and served on the executive board of the senior citizens' organization in Charleroi. In addition to her parents,she was preceded in death by her husband,John Joseph Kendrick,in December,1967,and by a brother,George Coleman,in September,1986. Surviving are a daughter,Eunice Kendrick,at home;a brother,Michael Coleman of Charleroi,and several nieces and nephews. Frriends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. thursday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Carl J. Spallino Funeral home,819 Fallowfield Ave.,Charleroi.  A concelebrated Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Jerome's Roman Catholic Church,Charleroi,with Rev. John Marcucci,pastor,as principal celebrant.  Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.  Arrangements are being handled by the Carl J. Spallino Funeral Home.
