Obituary

Ida S.Killings of 437 Motheral Ave.,Monessen,died on Wednesday,Sept.28,1983,at 8:30 p.m.at Westmoreland Manor,Greensburg. She was 80. Born in Kentucky on Aug.10,1903,she was the daughter of the late Henry and Hannah Stavall. Mrs.Killings resided in Monessen for the past 45 years. She was a Methodist by faith. She was a member of the Wayman A.M.E.Church of Monessen and was a former,active member of the Missionary group and choir until her illness. In addition to her parents,she was preceded in death by her husband. Surviving are three nephews,John Farmer of Monessen,William Farmer of Las Vegas,Nev.,and Thomas Farmer of North Carolina,a niece,Ida Allums of Monessen,two godchildren,Mary Margaret Corley and Winonna Humphries and a host of relatives and friends. Friends are being received on Thursday from 7 to 10 p.m.and on Friday from 2 to 4 p.m.at the William R.Taylor Funeral Home,645 McMahon Ave.,Monessen. Friends will then be received at the Wayman A.m.E.Church of Monessen on Friday from 7 to 9 p.m.and before services at 1 p.m.Saturday with the Rev.E.E.Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Trudy Traylor Clanagan,funeral director,is in charge of arrangements.
