Obituary

Audrey Mae Borne, 88, formerly of Fallowfield Township, passed away Monday, March 28, 2016, in Fort Worth, Texas.  She was born May 24, 1927, in Donora, a daughter of the late James L. and Olive Evans Payton.
Mrs. Borne was a graduate of California High School. She was a member of First Christian Church of Charleroi. Mrs. Borne began her career at Charleroi-Monessen Hospital in North Charleroi and continued at Monongahela Valley Hospital, where she retired after 25 years of service. She lived most of her life in Fallowfield Township, and, even after moving, she always considered it home. In 2005, she moved to Seminole, Fla. She actively volunteered for several years at James A. Haley Veterans Hospital in Tampa, Fla. In 2011, she moved to Fort Worth, where she resided until her death. Surviving are four children, Sandra L. Ballentyne of Arlington, Va., Marshall J. Borne of Charleroi, Robin A. Robinson and husband Donald of Fort Worth and Lawrence R. Borne and wife Jacqueline of Scotia, N.Y.; four grandchildren, Marshall Usher and wife Kristen of Columbus, Ohio, Rebecca Robinson of Fort Worth, Jill Christensen and husband Peter of Vienna, Va., and Mollie Borne of Milford, N.H.; three great-grandchildren, Austin and Owen Usher and Charlotte "Cece" Christensen; a sister, Mary E. Everly of Charleroi; a sister-in-law, Barbara A. Payton of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; several nieces and nephews; and a very dear friend, Robert Chamberlain of Fort Worth. Deceased, in addition to her parents, are her husband, Marshall F. Borne; two brothers, Joseph H. Payton, formerly of Lambertville, N.J., and James N. "Pork" Payton, formerly of Gulf Breeze; and a son-in-law, John "Tom" Ballentyne, formerly of Seminole. A private graveside memorial service is planned. Condolences may be expressed to the family at InMemoryOfAudreyBorne@gmail.com.
