Leonard Haten, 61, of Pricedale passed away Saturday, Aug. 8, 2015, in Westmoreland Hospital. Born Dec. 26, 1953, he was the son of the late Katie Mae and William Haten. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Reginald Haten; and sister, Eugenia Haten. Leonard graduated in 1972 from Belle Vernon Area High School. He was very well liked by everyone he came across. He always had a pleasant smile, affectionately called "Smiley" by the White Head Personal Care residents where he made his home and “Skin Tight” and “Linnie” by his family. He leaves to cherish his loving memory two brothers, Phillip (Lucy) Haten of Manassas, Va., and Ronald Haten of Duquesne; one sister, Marguerite Johnson of Monessen; and a host of nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 13 at Antioch Baptist Church, 945 Henry St., Belle Vernon. A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 14 at the church, followed by a Homegoing Celebration with the Rev. Clifford A. Carter officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
