Joyce (Peanuts) Jackson,48,of Monessen,died Sunday,Aug.18,1991,in Mon Valley Hospital,following an illness. She was born in Monessen March 29,1943,a daughter of the late Freeman and Eva B. Crawley Jeffries. Miss Jackson was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church of Monessen. She was previously employed as a cook at Monessen High School. In addition to her parents,she was preceded in death by two brothers, Gene and Robert Crawley,and a sister, Mary Cook. She is survived by a son,Robert E. Jackson of Monessen;a daughter,Eva Marie Hall of Monessen;three brothers,William Hemphill of South Carolina,Richard Crawley of Warren,Ohio,and Donald Crawley of Monessen;six sisters, Ruth Webb of Clairton,Iona Wilkins of the state of California,Elizabeth Scott,Delores Burgess,Beryle Jennings and Joan Woodson,all of Monessen;two grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Friends will be received at the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church,Reed Ave.,Monessen,Tuesday from 1 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Monessen,with the Rev. Griffin E. Mason,officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Fredericks Funeral Homes Inc. of Braddock and Homestead are in charge of the arrangements. Michael J. Aldrich is funeral director.
