Virginia Lorraine Smith, 91, formerly of Belle Vernon, died Saturday, Feb. 28, 2015, at 12:40 p.m. at Latrobe Care Center, Latrobe. Born Nov. 1, 1923, in Webster, she was the daughter of the late William Wendell Smith and Elsie Trew Smith Harden. A resident of Belle Vernon for the past 39 years, Mrs. Smith was Presbyterian by faith and a retired book keeper for the former King's Tire Service, Elizabeth. She is survived by seven nieces and three nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, William D. Smith, Samuel C. Smith, Melvin O. Harden; a sister, Gertrude A. McDonald; and a nephew, Larry O. Harden. Funeral services will be private for the family.
