Arthur E. "Geech" Joyner,74, of 618 Locust St.,Monessen,died Friday, April 20,1984. He was born Nov. 17,1910,in Columbia,S.C.,a son of the late Ernest and Josephine Joyner. He was retired from the Monessen Plant of the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation. A U.S.Navy veteran of World War II,Mr. Joyner had lived in Monessen for more than 45 years. He was Baptist by faith. Survivors include his wife, Velma Joyner; six grandchildren,Barton Jay,Anitra,Vonda,Edwina,Delphis and Reggie Frezzell,all at home; two sisters,Flonie Goodwin and Josephine Cunningham.both of South Carolina and several other relatives. Funeral services were held Monday,April 23,1984 at 1 p.m. in the William R. Taylor Funeral Home,Monessen,with the Rev. Griffin E. Mason officiating. Burial followed in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
