Obituary

Albert D. James, of 714 Lewis Ave., Speers Hill, died Tuesday,Dec.2,1980 at 7:25 p.m. in St. Francis Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was 85. Born Feb. 26, 1895 in Sharon, he had lived in Speers since 1948. Mr. James retired as an employee of the Corning Glass Works, Charleroi Plant, in 1965. He was a member of the Belle Vernon Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include his widow, Maude Aldridge James, two daughters, Mrs. George (Thelma) Flowers of Levittown and Mrs. Clyde (Celia) Henry of Bentleyville R.D., a step-daughter, Mrs. Angelo (Loretta) Forte of Bentleyville, a step-son, Benjamin Robert of Benezzet, Pa., 10 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Pearl Piot, in 1957. Friends will be received in the Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral Home, 700 Broad Ave.. Belle Vernon,Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m.from the funeral home with the Rev.Kenneth L. Neiderhiser,pastor of the Belle Vernon Church of the Nazarene,officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson,funeral director,is in charge of arrangements.
