James E. Hicks; 73; of CharIeroi; died Thursday; May 14;1998;in the emergency room of Mon Valley Hospital.
Born Aug. 30; 1924. in
Washington Township; he was
the son of the late Russell and
Pearl Hough Hicks.
He was Catholic by faith.
Mr. Hicks was a U.S. Navy
veteran of World War II and a
member of Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659.
In addition to his parents; he
was preceded in death by his
wife; Helen Hicks; who died Oct.
19; 1991.
Surviving are a daughter and
son-in-law; Linda and Richard
Finley of Dawson R.D.I; and a
sister; Ruth Todd of the state of
Indiana.
Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
and Saturday until 1 p.m. in the
Eley McCrory Funeral Home Inc.;Main St.;Fayette City. A Blessing service will be held Saturday at 1 p.m.in the funeral home;with the Rev.John Cindric officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Eley-McCrory Funeral Home Inc.
