Lloyd K.Hite;66;of Locust Road;Coal Center;died Monday;April 20;1998;in the Veterans Administration Hospital;Oakland. Born Aug.24;1931;in Donora;he was the son of the late Lloyd Hite and Mary Keifer Crawford of Dormont;who survives. Mr.Hite was a member of the Meadows Standardbred Horseman’s Association. He was an active horse trainer at Ladbroke at the Meadows. He was an avid bowler in two leagues at Tan-O-Bell Lanes in Bentleyville. He lived in Coal Center for 10 years and was formerly of Belle Vernon. He retired from the former Page plant in Monessen and was a U.S.Army veteran. In addition to his mother;he is survived by his wife of 43 years;Donna Evans Hite;his stepmother;Vivian Hite of Belle Vernon;a son and daughter-in-law;Wayne and Trudy Hite of Coal Center;two daughters and a son-in-law;Janis and Barry Niemiec of Clarksville and Colleen Hite of Coal Center;one sister;Nancy Sheran of Dormont and eight grandchildren;Kris;Justin;Carter and Casey Hite;Barry M.Niemiec Jr.;Joshua Miller;Ryne Niemiec and Jessica Martin. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.and Wednesday from 11 a.m.to noon in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon; Services will be held Wednesday at noon in the funeral home with the Rev.Dan Owen;pastor of Grace United Methodist Church;Coal Center;officiating. Interment will follow in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Arrangements are being handled by the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.
