Anthony P. "Tony" Blatnik, 86, of Fayette City, passed away Saturday, Jan 3, 2015, in Kane Regional Center, Scott Township. He was born April 26, 1928, in Fayette City, a son of the late Anton Blatnik and the late Anna Sladich Blatnik. He was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, Belle Vernon, and worked at the St. Vincent de Paul Society in Monessen. He was retired from AT and T and served his country in the U.S. Army. Tony volunteered at the former Community Ambulance Service in Washington Township. He is survived by his brother, Matthew George Blatnik and wife, Dolores, of Scott Township; sister, Frances Winn of Fresno, Calif.; Barbara Lipp of Reynoldsburg, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas and John Blatnik; and a sister, Josephine Blatnik. Friends will be received Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the ELEY-McCRORY FUNERAL HOME INC., 334 Main St., Fayette City, PA, 724-326-5621, http://www.eleymccroryfuneralhome.com. Blessing service will be held Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2015, at 10 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. in the St. Sebastian Church, Belle Vernon with Msgr. Roger A. Statnick as celebrant. Interment will follow in the Belle Vernon Cemetery, Belle Vernon. Parish Rosary service will be held Tuesday at 3 p.m. in the funeral home.
