Leonard Tovio Heino;73;of Dunlevy;died;following a lengthy illness;Tuesday;April 30;1996;at 12:40 p.m.in the Mon Valley Hospital. He was born in Vesta April 17;1921;a son of the late William and Minnie Heino. Mr.Heino was Catholic by faith. He had spent most of his life in the Dunlevy area. He had attended Vesta Grade School and
graduated from Charleroi High
School in 1940.
Mr. Heino had formerly
worked for M&M Coal Co. of
Speers and the Burger Appliance Store in Monessen. He
was a tax collector in Dunlevy
for 20 years and also operated
his own coal truck.
He owned and operated the
Kozy Nook Bar and Restaurant
in Twilight for the last 36 years.
Mr. Heino was a member of
the Belle Vernon Moose; Roscoe
Legion Club; Roscoe Slovak
Club; Monessen Slovak Club
and was a life member of the
Sportsmen’s Club of Roscoe
Surviving are his wife; Helen
Zadrozny Heino; with whom he
would have celebrated 50 years
of marriage on July 20; 1996;
three sons; Leonard D. and wife
Kathy Heino of Long Branch;
and Lawrence W. and Jeffrey
Heino; at home; two sisters;
Sally Biagini of Charleroi and
Mrs. Edward (Lila) Wall of
North Charleroi; and three
grandchildren; Lisa; Lindsey and Christina Heino. friends will be received in the Ferguson Funeral home;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held in the funeral home Friday at 11 a.m.with Father Felix N.Pyzowski of the Holy Trinity Parish of Fairhope of the Polish National Catholic Church officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.is in charge of the arrangements.
