Lida Ann Hackenson;69;of 706 Speer St.;Belle Vernon;died Wednesday;July 26;1995;at 1:30 a.m. in South Hills Convalescent Home. Born May 6;1926 in North Charleroi;she was a daughter of the late Harry and Leona Anderson Irwin. Mrs.Hackenson was a member of First Baptist Church of Belle Vernon and the Belle Vernon American Legion Auxiliary. A lifelong resident of the Belle Vernon area;she was former owner/operator of Irwin’s Flower Shop for 30 years;retiring in 1984. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;Elmer J.Hackenson;on Sept.10;1984. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law;Larry L.and Wendy Hackenson of Pittsburgh;two brothers;Glenn Irwin of West Chester and Harry Irwin of St.Joseph;Missouri;and one granddaughter;Meghan. Friends will be received Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;where services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev.Dr.Thomas St.Clair;pastor of the First United Methodist Church;Belle Vernon;officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ferguson Funeral Home Inc is in charge of arrangements.
