Samuel T. (Tubby) Humphries Jr.,50,of 207 Eastgate Manor,Monessen,died Saturday,Jan.23,1993. He was born Nov.10,1942,in Monessen,a son of the late Samuel Humphries Sr.and Mildred Humphries,who survives and resides in Monessen. He was a graduate of Monessen High School. He was veteran of the U.S.Marines Corps. He was employed by the City of Monessen Street Department. Survivors,in addition to his mother,include one daughter,Laura Oliver of Newport News,Va.;one brother,Carroll D. Humphries of Monessen;two sisters,Millie Blount of Atlanta and Haleloke Khammungkhume of San Marcus,Calif.;and two stepsons,Lance Johnson of Pricedale and Stanley Johnson of Monessen. In addition to his father,he was preceded in death by his first wife,Phyllis C. Humphries and his second wife,Alda Humphries. Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 6 in the Beverly C. Draper Funeral Home,608 Sixth St.,Monessen,where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Robert Holmes officiating. Burial will be in the Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Beverly C. Draper Funeral Hhome is in charge of the arrangements.
