Rudy Herspold,79,of Perryopolis,died at 9:30 p.m.,Saturday,Aug. 8,1992,in Jefferson Hosptial,Jefferson Borough. Mr. Herspold was born Feb. 8,1913,in New York City,N.Y.,a son of the late Alec and Mary Lucas Herspold. He was a retired coal miner. Mr. Herspold was a member of the First Christian Church,Perryopolis and the United Mine Workers of America. He was a military veteran of World War II. Surviving are his wife,Martha Natola Herspold;two sons,Bradley Herspold of Belle Vernon and Maynard Herspold of Perryopolis;two grandsons;and one sister,Mrs. William (Elizabeth) Powers,of Perryopolis.Friends will be received in the Blair-Lowther Funeral Home,Inc.,Perryopolis,on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.,Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday until 11 a.m.,the hour of services in the funeral home,with the Rev. Robert D. Brooks officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Blair-Lowther Funeral Home,Inc.,Perryopolis,is handling arrangements.
