Norman W.Houseman;64;of 317 Henry St.;Belle Vernon;died Thursday;Feb.28;1991;in the Mon Valley Hospital. He was born in Charleroi on Jan.17;1927;a son of the late Edgar and Theresa Thomas Houseman. Mr.Houseman was a member of the Metro Baptist Temple of Belle Vernon. He had been a resident of Belle Vernon for the past 43 years. He retired in 1986 as a bricklayer in the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel. A veteran of the U.S.Navy;he had served in World War II. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by a sister;Mrs.Thelma Gobert. He is survived by his wife;Virginia Gillen Houseman;a daughter;Mrs.Clement (Vicki) Ludwick of Perryopolis;a brother;Edgar Houseman Jr.of Brussels;Belgium;a sister;Wilhmina Hughes of Fellsburg;and four grandchildren. Friends will be received Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon. Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home;with the Rev.Stephen S.Dobosh of the Metro Baptist Temple;Rostraver Township;officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.is in charge of arrangements.
