Obituary

Norman W.Houseman,64,of 317 Henry St.,Belle Vernon,died Thursday,Feb.28,1991,in the Mon Valley Hospital. He was born in Charleroi on Jan.17,1927,a son of the late Edgar and Theresa Thomas Houseman. Mr.Houseman was a member of the Metro Baptist Temple of Belle Vernon. He had been a resident of Belle Vernon for the past 43 years. He retired in 1986 as a bricklayer in the Monessen Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel. A veteran of the U.S.Navy,he had served in World War II. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by a sister,Mrs.Thelma Gobert. He is survived by his wife,Virginia Gillen Houseman,a daughter,Mrs.Clement (Vicki) Ludwick of Perryopolis,a brother,Edgar Houseman Jr.of Brussels,Belgium,a sister,Wilhmina Hughes of Fellsburg,and four grandchildren. Friends will be received Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon. Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home,with the Rev.Stephen S.Dobosh of the Metro Baptist Temple,Rostraver Township,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.is in charge of arrangements.
