Wassil Husovitz;75;of 371 May St.;Belle Vernon;died Saturday;Feb.6;1988;at 5:25 a.m.;in Mon Valley Hospital. Born July 10;1912;in Charleroi;he was the son of the late John and Mary Husovitz. He was a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church;Belle Vernon. A U.S.Army veteran of WW II;he was a member of VFW Post 3557 of Belle Vernon. He lived in Belle Vernon since 1950;having lived in North Charleroi prior to that. He retired in 1975 from Corning Glass Corp.;Charleroi. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by a brother;John. Surviving are his wife of 46 years;Ann Plevel Husovitz;two daughters;Mrs.Bruce (Kathleen) Newstat of Ventnor;N.J.and Mrs.David (Maryann) Pierallini of Peters Twp.;one sister;Mrs.Mary Disanti of Charleroi;and two grandchildren;David and Amy Newstat. Friends will be received Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Monday from 2 to 4 p.m.and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon. A prayer service will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m.in the funeral home;followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.in St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church;Belle Vernon. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ferguson Funeral Home;Inc.is in charge of arrangements.
