Obituary

Wassil Husovitz,75,of 371 May St.,Belle Vernon,died Saturday,Feb.6,1988,at 5:25 a.m.,in Mon Valley Hospital. Born July 10,1912,in Charleroi,he was the son of the late John and Mary Husovitz. He was a member of St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon. A U.S.Army veteran of WW II,he was a member of VFW Post 3557 of Belle Vernon. He lived in Belle Vernon since 1950,having lived in North Charleroi prior to that. He retired in 1975 from Corning Glass Corp.,Charleroi. In addition to his parents,he was preceded in death by a brother,John. Surviving are his wife of 46 years,Ann Plevel Husovitz,two daughters,Mrs.Bruce (Kathleen) Newstat of Ventnor,N.J.and Mrs.David (Maryann) Pierallini of Peters Twp.,one sister,Mrs.Mary Disanti of Charleroi,and two grandchildren,David and Amy Newstat. Friends will be received Sunday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Monday from 2 to 4 p.m.and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon. A prayer service will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m.in the funeral home,followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m.in St.Sebastian Roman Catholic Church,Belle Vernon. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ferguson Funeral Home,Inc.is in charge of arrangements.
