Alice E. Higgins of Third Street, Monessen,died Tuesday, June 3,1986, at her home. Miss Higgins was born in Charleroi,a daughter of the late John J. and Elizabeth Meyer Higgins. She had been employed as a clerk at Monessen Plumbing and Electric Co. for many years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Howard and Raymond Higgins. Miss Higgins was a member of St. Leonard Roman Catholic Church and Order of Eastern Star No. 206,both of Monessen. Survivors include a sister, Caroline E. Higgins,with whom she made her home; a brother,John Higgins of Rostraver Township and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Rhome Funeral Home,Inc., 1209 Grand Blvd.,Monessen,where a Prayer service will be held Friday,June 6,at 9:30 a.m.,followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Leonard Roman Catholic Church,Monessen. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Rhome Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
