Margaret Contz Houlis of Grindstone;R.D.1;formerly of 1514 Marion Ave.;Monessen;died Saturday;Aug.17;1985;in Brownsville General Hospital;Brownsville;following a brief illness. She was 78. Mrs.Houlis was born Sept.23;1906;in Hungary;a daughter of the late Mr.and Mrs.Frank Contz. She and her late husband;George Houlis;owned and operated the Park Confectionery on Monessen’s Third Street for many years and was formerly associated with the Victory Restaurant in Monessen. Surviving are two daughters;Mrs.Alex (Norma) Lukacs of Trenton;N.J.and Mrs.Don (Margie) Kalvesmaki of Belle Vernon;one son;John Houlis;of Charleroi;10 grandchildren;four great-grandchildren;and two brothers;Julius Contz of Belle Vernon and Frank Contz of Ambridge;Pa. Friends will be received at the Rhome Funeral Home;Inc.;1209 Grand Blvd.;Monessen;Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery;Belle Vernon;Pa.
