Raymond T. Harris died unexpectedly
Sunday; July 14;1985; at his
residence; Filbern Manor; 410 N
Water St.; West Newton. He was 63.
Mr. Harris was born July 13;1922;
in Brownsville; a son of the late
Clarence and Daisy Harris Johnson.
He was an employee of Mon Valley
Hospital; Inc.; until March; 1979.
Mr. Harris was a member of the
Mt. Zion Baptist Church; West
Newton.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of
World War II.
Surviving are his stepmother;
Mrs. Viola Johnson of Whitsett;
seven brothers; Thomas; Earnest
and James Johnson; all of Whitsett;
Wayne and Clarence Johnson; both
of Chicago;Ill.;and David Johnson
of New York City;N.Y.(one brother’s name is distorted in newspaper obituary);seven
sisters; Mary Singleton and Lorretta
Bates; both of Whitsett. Cleora Lindsey
of Wilkinsburg; Roberta
Holbrook and Jean Smith; both of
Chicago; 111.; Alberta Burke of Providence;
R.I.; Lorraine Johnson of
Temple Hill; Md.; brothers and
sisters in-law;nieces and nephews
Friends will be received at the Mt.
Zion Baptist Church. West Newton;
Wednesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
p.m. Services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in Mt.Zion Baptist Church;West Newton;with the Rev.Ronald Crable officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery;Belle Vernon;Pa. The Percy E.Law Jr.Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
