Obituary

George Havadich of Perryopolis died Tuesday,June 25,1985,at 1:37 p.m. in the Uniontown Hospital. He was 64. Mr.Havadich was born Jan.1,1921,in Pittsburgh,a son of the late George and Anna Walkush Moxin. He was a member of St.John's Roman Catholic Church of Perryopolis. A retired truck driver for Quinn Freight Lines,Mr.Havadich was a member of the Amvets. Survivors include one brother,Thomas Havadich of Perryopolis,three sisters,Mrs.P.Randall (Helen) Evans and Mrs.Jack (Irene) Sturgis,both of Belle Vernon,and Mrs.Edmond (Patti) Lawrence of Oxen Hill,Md.,six nieces,two nephews and one great-niece. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Edward Havadich. Friends will be recieved Thursday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Blair-Lowther Funeral Home,Inc.,Perryopolis. Prayer service in the funeral home will be held Friday,June 27,at 9:30 a.m.,followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St.John's Roman Catholic Church,Perryopolis,with the Rev.Father James Petrovsky officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. A wake service will be held Thursday at 8:30 p.m. in the funeral home. The Blair-Lowther Funeral Home,Inc.,is in charge of arrangements.
