Obituary

Clyde C. Bud Houseman of 615 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,died Sunday,March 24,1985,at 10 a.m. in Mercy Hospital,Pittsburgh. He was 62. Mr.Houseman was born Oct.3,1922,in Fairhope,Washington Township,a son of the late Clyde and Tillie Beeler Houseman. He was a member of the Belle Vernon American Legion and the Fairhope Rod and Gun Club. Mr.Houseman retired in 1982 as a machinist from the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.,Allenport Plant. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean Conflict,having served in the U.S.Navy. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers,Irwin and James. Survivors include his wife,Ruth Abbott Houseman,a son,Clyde Houseman of San Diego,Calif.,two daughters,Mrs.Dean (Ginger) Stefanides of Springfield,Va.,and Mrs.Charles (Robin) Sztroin of Belle Vernon,a brother,Warren Houseman of Buena Park,Calif.,and four grandchildren. Friends will be received Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home,700 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,where services will be held Wednesday,March 27,at 11 a.m. with the Rev.Thomas St.Clair,pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson,funeral director,is in charge of arrangements.
