Obituary

Clifford E.Harn of 1108 Broad Ave.,Rostraver Twp.,died Saturday,Nov.19,1983,at 8:30 a.m. at his home. He was 68. Mr.Harn was born Aug.15,1915,in South Brownsville,a son of the late Benjamin and Agnes Larson Harn. He was preceded in death by one brother,Kenneth Harn. A resident of the Belle Vernon area for the past 37 years,Mr.Harn was a member of First Presbyterian Church,Belle Vernon. He was a veteran of World War II,having served in the U.S.Army. Mr.Harn was a member of Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659,Monessen Southwestern Retirees Association and was a life member of the United Transporation Union Local 1676. He retired in January 1977 as a trainman for Monessen Southwestern Railroad. Survivors include his widow,Anna Mae Jewell Harn,one son,Clifford Eugene Harn of Clarksville,two stepsons,Thomas Charles Harsha of Pittsburgh and John Richard Harsha of Marion,Ind.,one stepdaughter,Mrs.Dale (Elsie) Williams of Kittanning,one brother,Charles G.Harn of Winter Haven,Fla.,one sister,Mrs.Myrtle Powers of Jacksonville,N.C.,and 11 grandchildren. Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home,626 Broad Ave.,Belle Vernon,where funerl services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev.Charles Laplaca,pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Belle Vernon,officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Belle Vernon American Legion Post 659 service will be held Monday at 7 p.m.in the funeral home,followed by Monessen Southwestern Railroad UTU service at 7:30 p.m. The Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
