Sylvia Fay Sid Smith Glotfelty;81;of Lowber;Fayette City R.D.1;died Sunday;June 9;1996;in her home following a lengthy illness. Born July 1;1914;she was a daughter of the late Charles H.and Amy E.Friend Smith. Mrs.Glotfelty was a member of Little Redstone Presbyterian Church where she served as an elder and deacon;Sunday School teacher;Vacation Bible School teacher;choir member and custodian. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;Clarence B.Glotfelty;on Nov.1;1967;a sister;Gertrude B.Bronson;and two brothers;Walter E.and Lester E.Smith. Survivors include nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Howard W.McCrory Funeral Home;Main Street;Fayette City;and Wednesday from 10 until 11 a.m.;when services will be held in the funeral home with the Rev.Susan Speakman officiating.
