John Henry Granlund,81,of Fayette City,died Sunday,Dec. 25,1994,at 11 a.m. in his home following a lengthy illness. Born Dec. 27,1912,in Fayette City,he was a son of the late Victor and Hannah Carbu Granlund. Protestant by faith,Mr. Granlund was a U.S.Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Brightwell-Daugherty American Legion Post 484,Fayette City. Mr. Grunland was a retired carpenter. Survivors include his wife,Eleanor Nelson Granlund;two daughters and sons-in-law,Jeanne and Gary Podlesnik of Latrobe and Linda and Leonard Nix of Belle Vernon R.D.3;four grandchildren,Erik and Christopher Podlesnik and Heather and Ryan Nix;and one brother,William Granlund of Clarksburg, W.Va. Friends will be received Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City.
