Obituary
Leo Guth,83,of Hobart,Ind.,formerly of Fayette City R.D.1, died Monday,Feb. 15,1988,at 7:20 a.m.in Porter Memorial Hospital,Valparaiso,Ind. Mr. Guth was born Jan. 1,1905,in Perryopolis, a son of the late Mr and Mrs. Alfonse Guth. He was a retired pipe-fitter. Mr. Guth was a member of the Assembly of God Church, Chesterton, Ind.,the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge, Portage,Ind.,and was a social member of the Italinan Club in Perryopolis. His wife, Nellie Guth,died in 1968. Surviving are two sons, Dan Guth of Palmetto,Fla, and Melvin Guth of Hobart, Ind.; two stepsons, Sam Salain of Lake Station, Ind.,and Louis Salain of Valparaiso,Ind.; two daughters,Mrs. Andy (Dolly) Carbonara of Lake Station, Ind. and Mrs. Leona Whitten of South Haven,Ind., 25 grandchildren;40 great-grandchildren; one brother,Alvie Guth; and two sisters, Mrs. Clif (Lola) Hamm of Pueblo, Colo and Mrs. John (Sarah) Skoda of Isabella,Pa. Friends will be received Thursday from noon to 9 p.m. in the Howard W. McCrory Funeral Home,Fayette City.
