Eugene Gillo;95;of 1306 Fayette Ave.;Belle Vernon;died Thursday;Oct.15;1987;at 11:25 a.m.at Haven Crest Nursing Home. He was born April 27;1892;in Torino;Italy;a son of the late John and Maria Gillo. He was Catholic by faith. He was a member of the Belle Vernon community for the past 54 years. He retired in 1953 as a coal miner for the Pittsburgh Coal Company in Pricedale. He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America;District 5 and was a past member of the Italian Beneficial Society of Belle Vernon. Survivors include his wife;Mary Girardi Gillo;one daughter;Mrs.Ralph (Anita) Falcon of Falls Church;Va.;one son;John of Belle Vernon;four grandchildren;and three great-grandchildren. Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.at the Leonard J.Parzynski Funeral Home;626 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;where blessing services will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
