William Grabania;74;of 185 Grouse Dr.;Elizabeth;died Friday;Aug.14;1987;at 3 a.m. in Jefferson Center hospital. He was born April 9;1913;in Monessen;a son of the late Peter and Mary Granania. A resident of Elizabeth Township for the last 10 years;he formerly resided in Monessen. He was a U.S.Army veteran of World War II and was a member of the Monessen American Legion. He retired in 1976 from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel’s Allenport Plant. Survivors include his wife;Marie O’leary Grabania;one son;William D.of West Chester;two daughters;Mrs.Frank (Patricia) Smith of Coraopolis and Mrs.Albert (Carol) Zema of Charleroi;five sisters;Ann McKosky of Belle Vernon;Rose Kostura of Charleroi;Mildred Grabania;Pauline Sypolt and Nell Pobok;all of Monessen;and six grandchildren. Friends will be received Saturday from 7 to 9 p.m.and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.in the Shelby D.Ferguson Funeral Home;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon. Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home with the Rev.Charles K.Sowden of the South Brownsville United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson;funeral director;is in charge of the arrangements.
