Linwood Dewey Green died Sunday;Dec.23;1984;at 11:05 p.m. at the home of his daughter;Mrs.Charles (Dorothy) Byrd of 107 Ninth St.;Donora. He was 84. Mr.Greene was born Oct.11;1900;in Durham;N.C.;a son of the late Arthur and Ida Rogers Green. He was baptized Sept.19;1917;at the White Rock Baptist Church in Durham;N.c. Mr.Green then moved to Monessen where he met and married Estelle Elizabeth Bailey. They were married June 2;1927;and had six children. Mr.Green retired from the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp.in 1965. He was a member of Union Baptist Church;Monessen;where he served as chairman of the trustee board and chairman of the deacon board. He was also a member of the Gospel Chorus. Mr.Green was preceded in death by his wife on Feb.5;1975. Survivors include two sons;Lynward D.Greene Jr.of Poughkeepsie;N.Y.;and Donald Greene of Dale City;Va.;four daughters;Mrs.Odell (Bertha) Jones of Charleroi;Mrs.Henry (Klara) Brown of Bronx;N.Y.;Mrs.Charles (Dorothy) Byrd of Donora and Mrs. Ulysses (Jessie) Reynolds of Springfield;Va.;one brother;Ashley Green of Durham;N.C.;three sisters;Idonia Sadler of Corona;N.Y.;Jessie Cushinberry of Topeka;Kan.;and Iola DeCambra of Jamica;N.Y.;13 grandchildren;three great-grandchildren;and two aunts;Mrs.Mamie Dunn of Durham.N.C.;and Mrs.Effie Rogers of Asbury Park;N.J. Friends will be received Wednesday from 5 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Union Baptist Church;Monessen;where services will be held Friday;Dec.28 at 11 a.m. with the Rev.
