Bruce Groomes;17;of 44 South McKean Ave.;Donora;died at 11:12 p.m.Friday;Sept.26;1980;in St.Clair Hospital;Mt.Lebanon;after collapsing during a Ringgold High School football game at Mt.Lebanon Stadium. He was born June 7;1963;in North Charleroi;a son of Valerie Groomes and the late Thomas Tyree;who died in 1972. In addition to his mother;he is survived by four brothers;Carlson Stallsworth of Monessen and Thomas;John and Sylvern Groomes;all at home;two sisters;Marcella Groomes of Monessen and Shawn Groomes;at home. Friends will be received in the Percy E.Law Jr.Funeral Home;1324 Meldon Ave.;Donora;from 7 to 9 p.m.Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Tuesday. Services will be held in St.Paul Baptist Church;South McKean Ave.;Donora;Wednesday at 1 p.m. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Percy E.Law Jr.Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
