Obituary

Edward B. Gauden, 68, of
825 Main St., Bentleyville,
died Sunday, Feb. 17,1980.
He was born in Arnold City
on Aug. 31,1911, a son of the
late Elijah and Prudence
(Hartland) Gauden.
He was a Presbyterian by
faith and was a former resident of Fairhope and Belle
Vermon.
He retired from the Allenport Plant of Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corp. in 1974.
He is survived by his widow,
Marion (Palfrey) Gauden,
one son, Edwara D. Gauden,
and one daughter, Mrs. John
(Shirley) Melvin, both of Pensacola, Fla., one brother,
William Gauden of
Oklamlulgee, Okl., three
sisters, Mrs. Honor Sotta of
Belle Vernon, Mrs. Anna May
Melvin of Belle Vernon, and
Mrs. Emma Lucas of East
Detroit, Mich., and three
grandchildren.
Friends may call at the
Shelby D. Ferguson Funeral
Home from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
p.m. Wednesday.
Services will be held at 1
p.m. Thursday at the funeral
home, with the Rev. Fred
Gnatuk of First Presbyterian
Church officiating. Interment will be in the Belle Vernon Cemetery.
