the Charleroi Division of Mon
Valley Hospital. She was 59.
Mrs. Griffith was born April
24; 1919 in Mt. Pleasant; a
daughter of the late Robert
and Mary Ann Rodgers
Hewitt.
Before moving to Port
Royal Village in August of
1977; she had spent most of her
life in Speers.
Her husband; Thomas C.
Griffith; preceded her in death
on July 17; 1972; as did a
brother; Robert Hewitt; in
1975.
Survivors include four sons;
Arthur Artis of New Eagle;
Barry B. Griffith of Charleroi;
Thomas L. Griffith with the
U.S Army in Germany; and
Douglas S. Griffith; at home;
one brother; Jacob Hewitt of
Belle Vernon; two sisters;
Mrs. Carolyn Crouch of Speers
Hill and Mrs. Louvisa
McKevitt of Shaler Twp.; and
six grandchildren.
Friends are being received
in the Shelby D. Ferguson
Funeral Home; 700 Broad
Ave.; Belle Vernon; from 7 to 9
p.m. Saturday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Sunday. Services will be held in the funeral home Monday at 1 p.m.;with the Rev.Charles K.Sowden of the First United Methodist Church of Fredericktown officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. Shelby D.Ferguson is funeral director in charge.
