J.R.Gordon Frazier;82;of Fayette City;died Sunday;May 16;1999;in Mon Valley Hospital. He was born in Monessen on Feb.26;1917;a son of the late John and Anna Whyte Frazier. Mr.Frazier was a member of the First Christian Church of Belle Vernon;the Charleroi F&AM Lodge 615 and a life member of the North Belle Vernon Volunteer Fire Department. He retired from the Fisher Body Plant of General Motors in 1974 and was a World War II veteran of the Merchant Marines. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by his first wife;Elizabeth Martin Frazier on July 27;1989. Survivors include his second wife;Ruth Perez Peltz;a daughter and son-in-law;Rowena and Carl Partyka of South Park;a son and daughter-in-law;Richard and Bobbi Frazier of Linville;Va.;and one grandson;Scott Frazier of Linville;Va. Friends will be received in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held in the funeral home on Wednesday at 11 a.m.;with the Rev.Donald Bowers;pastor of First Christian Church of Belle Vernon;officiating. Interment will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The North Belle Vernon Volunteer Fire Department will meet in the funeral home to hold services on Tuesday at 7 p.m. and the Chrarleroi F&AM Lodge 615 will meet on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. The Ferguson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
