William J.Flower Jr.;91;of Grand Rapids;Mich.;died Friday;Jan.15;1999;in Grand Rapids;Mich. He was born in Monongahela on Oct.9;1907;a son of the late William J.amd Sarah Mellor Flower Sr. Mr.Flower was a pattern maker employed by the Fisher Body Division of General Motors. He was a veteran of the U.S.Navy serving in World War II. He had lived in Grand Rapids since 1992. He was a member of the Brethren;holding their services at the Rest Haven home where he was a resident. Survivors include his wife;Rose Rumora Flower;one son and daughter-in-law;William J.and Lynn Flower of Fairview;Pa.;four sisters;Martha Little of Buffalo;N.Y.;Florence Chenney and Nellie Jean Frye;both of the state of California;and Dorothy Japak of Canton;Ohio;and one brother;Frank Flower of Smithton. In addition to his parents;he was preceded in death by his first wife;Anna V.Flower in 1966;one sister;Virtue Cramer;and four brothers;Fred;Thomas;Charles and Harry. Friends were received this morning in the James S.Rabe Funeral Home Inc.;Donora where services were also held. Burial was in Belle Vernon Cemetery.
