Della M.Forsythe;99;of Monessen;formerly of Belle Vernon;died Sunday;Jan.26;1997;in McMurray Hill Manor;McMurray. Born Nov.22;1897;in Belle Vernon;she was a daughter of the late Austin and Carrie Evans Rose. Mrs.Forsythe was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon;where she had served on the administrative board and was a member of the choir for over 30 years. She was a former member of the Charleroi;Monessen and Fayette City Goldenagers. Mrs.Forsythe spent most of her life in the Belle Vernon area. In addition to her parents;she was preceded in death by her husband;Robert G.Forsythe;on May 22;1972;a son;James Forsythe;on Dec.21;1977;four brothers;John;Oliver;Raymond and George Rose;and three sisters;Edna Fell;Evelyn Williams and Maude Mazzei. Survivors include one daughter-in-law;Edith Forsythe of Monessen;one granddaughter;Carole Forsythe Borda of Houston;Pa.;two great-grandchildren;John Borda and Carrie Martik;and two great-great-grandchildren;Tyler and Matthew Martik. Friends will be received Monday from 7 to 9 p.m.in the Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.;700 Broad Ave.;Belle Vernon;where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m.with the Rev.S.Miles McConnell;pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Belle Vernon;officiating. Burial will be in Belle Vernon Cemetery. The Ferguson Funeral Home Inc.is in charge of arrangements.
